My first bread from scratch!

It's cinnamon & raisin bread. It smells SO MUCH fresher and tastes MUCH MUCH more naturall than those you get in stores. I'll give it a 90%. Certainly there are things to improve, but I am very happy with the results!

Even though I am still in orientation this past and next 1.5 week, my stress level has been sky high. I want to finish an internal medicine book before my first call day on July 1st, and start on a cardiology book before my first day of real work, which is also July 1st. But stress level is only going to increase from now on, so it's good for me to learn that it's OK to have some fun and to sleep, e.g. baking this bread!

Chinese egg custards

This is my 3rd trial. It turns out to be very nice. I gave it a 100%. My pignea pig gave it a 98% due to some presentation flaws. He said that the crust height was not uniform. Some of the egg pudding has shrink down to show some wrinkles on the surface. Despite what he said, he wanted to keep a dozen of these custards...???!!!!
This time I call it a success because the bottom of the crust is fully cooked and is cripsy. The edge of the crust is browned. The egg pudding is cooked just right. Perfect!

stuffed green and red peppers

My first time to stuff peppers with shrimp, Chinese mushrooms, and dried scallops. It turns out to be good with a sauce. However, the stuffing was too thick. The bottom part is not as well cooked. Room for improvement next time. My pignea pig (Lewis) gave it a score of 85/100 because of the undercooking problem. But it smells and looks very good. : )
